The provider lavaged sand out of both of the patient's ears. I cannot find any code other than 69209 that would support this procedure. Any other suggestions? I wasn't sure if I could use the 69209 because it implies cerumen is lavaged from ear. I don't really feel that 69200 (removal of foreign body without general anesthesia) would apply for this particular patient given that no instrumentation was used.

I don't think you can bill for it. I know you can't use 69209 though. It would be included in the E/M. Similar to if you do a lavage for non-impacted cerumen.
