Hello I need assistance to see if there is a cpt code for wound care for a laceration on the forehead in an Urgent care setting. Please see below description. thank you


Location: left forehead . The wound was irrigated with sterile normal saline and debrided of any foreign material or devitalized tissue. Sterile wound dressing applied. The patient tolerated procedure well. Wound care instructions were given, and patient was instructed to return for redness, warmth, or swelling of the skin, red streaking, pus, increasing pain, fevers, or any other signs or symptoms of infection. The patient was instructed to return for wound check as needed.

If the debridement procedure had more detail (e.g. depth of the devitalized tissue, surface area debrided, technique or type of instrument used, etc.) you might be able to select an appropriate CPT for the procedure, but given only what you have documented here, I would just consider it included in the E/M service.
