Good morning fellow peeps, has anyone seen these codes paid? by Medicare or any of the Blues?

Hello,

For informational purposes...

All of these codes are listed as NONCOVERED codes due to experimental/investigational status.

Please see this link: https://www.bcbsm.com/amslibs/content/dam/public/mpr/mprsearch/pdf/2097775.pdf

This PDF link is the medical policy provided by BCBS/BC Network. This was updated and effective 2/15/22. I have not personally billed for these, but I would be following this medical policy. These codes are only temporary to allow for data collection for emergency technology, services, and procedures. This is for widespread documentation for the FDA to have for approval processes. According to this medical policy, they are not a covered benefit for all contracts that exclude reimbursement for experimental/investigational services.
