It's been awhile since I coded for ortho. So, I am reaching out for help with these 3 codes. The CCI edits only has 1 edit listed which is for code 28285 that simply states it's part of the surgical/medical practice. We were reimbursed for codes 28285 & 27108 but we weren't for code 28110. Reason stating that this code is previously paid Payment has been provided in a previous payment. However on the edits there was nothing that said a modifier could not be append. The only modifier used was 51. I am wondering if a 59 would be more appropriate. Any suggestions or guidance would be appreciated.
