We are trying to get our Dermatology Residents credentialed now to allow them to start seeing patients when they complete their residency June 30, 2015. However, we are running into issues with the carriers not wanting to start the credentialing process, even though they have their DO license, until they have completed their residency. Has anyone else ran into this issue and if so were you able to get them credentialed?

Thanks,
Danielle Sanchez

Hello - our clinic has a residency program where the residents work here for 3 years then move on. We don't bill for any residents - we bill under the preceptor. We are a FQHC - not sure if that makes a difference or not.
