Hello everyone

I have some credentialing questions that I would greatly appreciate feedback on. You can contact me directly or respond here. Thank you so much in advanced.
  1. Can a PA open a clinic if they have a Medical Director and are billing under the MD's Tax ID and NPI?
  2. Can Contracting Physicians bill under the clinic's group NPI and Tax Id once received?
  3. Does the group NPI and Tax ID have to be registered on each state if Telemedicine is out of state?
 
1. What do you mean by "open a clinic"? Do you mean "have ownership of"? Not in most states.
2. If the group is contracted, and the physician is contracted, and the physician's contract is attached to the group, then the billing provider is the group and the rendering provider is the physician.
3. NPI and Tax ID are not state registrations. Do you mean, does the physician have to have a medical license in the state where the patient is located? Usually, yes. The last thing I read about it was that was still true.
