Hi All,

I just became a CPC-A and a CPB, where should your credentials be placed on your resume? Top next to name or bottom?

Roxy

Hello,
How was the exam for CPB, I'm taking the course now.
Hi, the only thing I used to prepare myself for the exam was the study guide. I've been an Early Intervention/ABA biller for 11 years and I have no knowledge of Medicare which was one of my weak points. I passed on my 4th attempt with a 77% after thoroughly going over all things that had to do with Medicare. 64%, 66%, 68% and 77%. Write a lot of notes and thoroughly go over study guide and course material and you'll be fine. Good luck!!

I list mine on the top, next to my name. I put them in the same order AAPC does (next to my name on my member profile), which theoretically goes from most general to most specific.
At the bottom of my resume, there's a section that shows what they all mean and the dates they were obtained.

Thank you, Tami

I usually have mine listed under the "skills" section of my resume with bullers
like i will have for example

Skills
• CPC, CIC, CCS
• ICD-9-CM and ICD-10-CM Proficient
• Microsoft Office Expertise

and so on.

Its just the way I do it. ☺

I place my next to my name such as...

Chelle Johnson, CPC CPMA CPCO CDEO CEMC CPPM

and then under education or certification I provide them with the description of the mneumonic;

CPC Certified Professional Coder
CPMA Certified Professional Medical Auditor
etc...
