A cardiologist provided critical care in one facility, then during an ambulance ride, and then at another facility before handing the patient off to other providers. Any suggestions on how to bill for this? I'm not sure if using POS 21 for the first facility would be appropriate since the total care encompassed multiple locations. Thank you for any suggestions!

I would recommend calculating the total face to face time to determine the right amount of 99291/99292 units to use. I'm pretty sure 99291 has no specific POS but I don't think your provider can bill for the ambulance or at the other facility.
