Critical care can be provided in any setting per CPT as long as documentation, especially at least 30 minutes of CC are documented.This does not mean a given payor especially Caid plans might not deny the claim. But you should win on that with documentation to support CC.

I thought so but I just wanted another opinion. Its doesn't seem like critical care and out patient would go together.

And I think some payors will agree. But in theory CC could be provided in the field. Either way you will probably have to support the billing with documentation.
