We have two CRNAs who split services between a patient. One had started the anesthesia and the other stayed with the patient during surgery. Does anyone know how this should be billed?

Thanks for any help that you may be able to provide.
 
I believe it depends on your state regs and whether or not you are a teaching facility. I think typically it is the provider on the case the longest, but where I am located and because we are a teaching facility, we use the first CRNA on the case.
