Hello. I am looking for Certified Billing and Coding position. I recently certified through National Healthcareer Association as a Certified Medical Billing and Coding Specialist, (CBCS) in the Boston, Massachusetts area.

When I was laid off from my previous position, the Veterans Administration had just launched a pilot program to help veterans get certified in specific fields. I was accepted into this program and made the change from Medical Administrative Assistant to Medical Billing and Coding. This new skill allows me to continue to grow in the health care industry.

I initially thought the program was about just knowing codes, but now I understand that my greatest benefit to you is also being conscious of your organization's desire for accuracy while achieving the highest reimbursement for services provided. I understand the importance of following the company's rules and business ethics.

I bring ten years of health care industry experience to your company in varying capacities giving you a well-rounded employee. I believe my understanding of medical billing and coding, Medisoft Patient System, medical terminology and HIPPA/JCHCO regulations, would be a direct asset to your organization.

I am a team player with a plenty of enthusiasm. I look forward to hearing more about the position.
