Hello all,
I am coding for a physiatrist that has given a diagnosis of Central Sensitivity Syndrome, in the past this patient has been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and after looking in several medical websites on the subject I am wondering if this is still coded as 729.1. Since there isn't a code for Central Sensitivity Syndrome (CSS), I also wonder if the pain series 338.XX might be more appropriate. If anyone has any experience or just an opinion on this matter I would love to listen. Thanks in advance.
