We had a patient come in for CT of the abd/pelvis without contrast and come back two days later for the CT abd/pel with contrast. I know if the contrast is done at a later time in the same day we just bill the one code for CT abd/pel w/wo contrast but would that same rule apply if there was a two day delay between scans ?
