I work for a family practice with 3 satellite offices in addition to the main office. Each does their own entering of superbills into our system. If there is any question about a diagnosis or CPT code, they call me for assistance. Do these outlying offices need to have current coding books on site or is ok for us to have 1 set that is in the main office (where I work)?

Thanks for any help!

I feel it is essential for each CODER to have a complete and current set of code books. If these offices are providing the codes then yes i feel they need the most current resources available.
