Z72.0 is applicable to Tobacco use NOS and Exlcudes1 F17.2- (including F17.220 Nicotine dependence, chewing tobacco, uncomplicated).

Since chewing tobacco use can be coded (e.g., F17.220), you would not use Z72.0. You would use Z72.0 for Tobacco use NOS.

To answer your question, use F17.220.
