As of the January Issue, our trade journal is AAPC Cutting Edge with the subtitle Healthcare Business Monthly. As we have all recognized, the AAPC is no longer just a 'coding' organization-- we now have members who are certified in practice management, billing, compliance and auditing. In order to support those professionals, the AAPC has definitely stepped up to include articles and information within a larger range of topics. For those of us who are managers and administrators, this is great news, because we all represent those key players within the business of healthcare! As healthcare grows and changes, so has the AAPC, to become a much more comprehensive professional resource for all its members. I absolutely love the new focus on healthcare business, because there's one thing I know after 23+ years in this field--you have to keep up with the changes in the industry.
