This question is puzzling me, whether to code separately or combined.
Please help.

Pt. is seen for COPD with acut exacerbation. Pt also has left hemiplegia due to previous CVA.
Please help with ICD.10 dx.

I69.954. or I69.854


or do we code separately - I69.898 0r 998
G81.94

Hey,

For COPD ex. J44.1 is appropriate one, however for Late effects of CVA, I would suggest I69.35 series.

CVA in ICD 10 CM coded as I63.9, so late effects of CVA to be coded as late effects of cerebral infarction...
