I have difficulty each time I code a non-healing wound. The doctor simply states non-healing wound not surgical nor is it stated as an injury. This particular patient is type 2 diabetic but I should not assume this is a diabetic ulceration correct? Could someone please give me some insight for correct coding for this diagnosis. Thank You.
