Wiki Cysto discontinued

Pt came in for Cysto 52000, the physician had to discontinue the procedure due to Urethra being too small and pt was sent to the hospital to be put under for the procedure.

I believe this should be 52000-53 but others in office say just code simple office visit...

I agree with you to code the procedure with the -53 modifier. The physician started the procedure and had to discontinue. I would also code original diagnosis ICD-9 and include descriptive codes V64.3, Procedure not carried out for other reason, with 598.XX if cause of stricture is known.
