I am looking for the right CPT code for the resection of bladder neck contracture. The patient has had a radical prostatectomy. I am thinking codes 52001, 52214, and 52276. I had a note that says the true bladder neck has been removed during the prostatectomy and to use 52276 when incisions are used to treat a stricture of the urethra at the anastomosis of the urethra and bladder. But I have nothing about resecting the tissue. I am thinking about using the same code.

Any suggestions??

You are corerect in this case there is no true bladder neck contraction. Therefore, I wouild suggest 53899, an unlisted urology code, and bench mark to 52640 for the resection of scar at the anastomosis of the bladder and urethra.-
