Please help. Cytology coding confuses me. Patient has pleural effusion. Six cytospins, three cell blocks and three immunostains listed under microscopic description. Gross description: Rec. 800ml of straw colored fluid, from which six cytospins are prepared and stained with papanicolau and giemsa stains. In addition, three cell blocks are prepared and stained with H&E stain.
Under pathology procedures : cell, ext study 5 sli, 88342x3.
Immunostains are not really listed any where other than they were reviewed with appropriate controls.

Can this be coded from this information? Please help.

For Cytology this is how it goes:
You have a liquid (pleural effusion)
You get to code 88305 cell block, 88104 for the smear, and you also get to code the stains (each stain individually with code 88312 per a specimen).
