Hello,
I work at a clinic who has a couple of podiatrist that come in throughout each month. Most of the patients are also seen by our medical providers so getting the date last seen for Medicare claims is easy, but we are having issues getting a date from patients who's medical provider is at another clinic, even if it's an approximate date. Does anyone have any suggestions how to get this information when the patient is at the podiatry appointment? The billing team will make calls after the patient is seen so the claim can be processed but we run into patient's not remembering.
