Hello, was hoping to get help on a 2 surgeon Endoscopic Dacryocystorhinostomy performed in my ASC. I have the relevant excerpts from each surgeon's op report attached and would like to see if my coding is correct. ENT surgeon reads and codes as a 31239, ENT surgeon agrees. I'm having trouble with the eye surgeon's note because it reads more as being an observer and does not directly state what physical actions she actually performed. Eye surgeon wants to bill 68720 and potentially 68815. If she addended her op report to clearly state she was responsible for the tube insertion I could see coding 68815. But I do not think the 68720 is correct because the ENT surgeon used a scope and was responsible for this portion. Thank you in advance!!
