Is delayed the same as nonunion? Where can I find what the difference is? My doc likes to put delayed down and I want to see nonunion so I want to make sure that these are the samething.

No they are definitely not the same thing. There are 2 different codes in the book also one for non healing which is the same as delayed healing and one for malunion which is the same as a non union.
non healing indicates that there is insufficient bone growth to stabilize the bone, a malunion or non union indicated that the bone did not heal in a correct anatomic position. This as explained to me by one of our ortho surgeons.
