we are having an issue getting 96160 paid. Is anyone else having this issue?
Does anyone know if this can be billed with G0438 and G0439? I believe it can be billed with G0444. We just started billing this code.

Medicare will not pay for 96160 as an annual depression screening. They will only cover G0444, but you must meet the requirements to bill it. The only time I have been successful in getting Medicare to pay for 96160 is when the patient has a depression dx and we are using an assessment during follow-up of treatment.
