Hi there!
I have a question regarding the ICD-9 definition for single verus recurrent episodes of major depression.
Do you only consider it single the first time it is coded and after that everytime is recurrent or is it not considered recurrent unless it is documented that the pt. suffered from depression, went into remission and then had major depression again?
Can anyone explain this better to me?
