We were wondering how providers and payers are planning to handle the replacement of the DePuy hip implants.
My understanding is that DuPuy would like providers to submit the services to the patient's insurance carrier. In my opinion, this could create a variety of issues. Perhaps the most efficient and cost-effective approach is to exclude the middleman and work directly with the manufacturer, DuPuy or their agent, Broadspire.
