Hi, I code for a dermatology group. My question is that if I have multiple procedures, what modifiers do I use without them denying as duplicate?
For example: 11301, 11301 and 11301 (3 separate sites, surgeries). I have been filing them as 3 units with -59 -51. Does anyone know if this is correct?
Thanks!!

you would not list units, you need to list each as its own separate line item then to the second and third you use the 59 or the XS modifier depending on payer. I do not use the 51 modifier
