i am wondering about the dermoid ovarian cyst code?
without any further information from the provider, which catogeroy does it fall under? and ovarian cyst ( N83.29,- or the D27.9? please advice
 
N83.29# is for OTHER ovarian cyst. Since the physician specifies this as DERMOID ovarian cyst, you would use D27.#.
You only use OTHER or UNSPECIFIED codes when there is not a better code to describe the diagnosis.
