Help I need help on this code the doctor did this in the office using cautery. I am not sure if 40820 is correct or not as this is out of my specialty.

Where?

Before folks can help you, they'll need a more precise explanation of where in the mouth this lesion was located.

The code you mention is from Vestibule of Mouth, the area defined as "the part of the oral cavity outside the detoalveolar structures; it includes the mucosal and submucoal tissue of lips and cheeks."

Is this where it was?

Thanks for asking, yes it is in the vestibule of the mouth 4mmx 3mm. The providers procedure report is very short so there was not much to it. :)
