we had our EP tech do a Pace check 10/18. The physician did not look at the data and do his interpretation until 10/19.

How would we bill this? 10/18 the TC and 10/19 the 26?

Weve had the same thing happening in our office but were unaware of it until recently. Now we are awaiting the signature and date and I believe billing the technical on the date it was performed and the technical on the date it was read would be appropriate. I am very interested to see how other coders are handling these situations.

Yes. As per CMS they do accept split billing and you should bill the interpretation when it was read and not performed.

As far as commercial payers go...it's my understanding they don't require the split billing so you can just bill the global regardless of when it was interpreted.
