Does anyone have any reference material on billing these together? We do not bill them together, but 1 of our EP physician is stating that we should because............An EKG is not the same as a device check. Device checks won't tell us if there are ischemic changes, the QT interval for evaluation of anti-arrhythmic therapy or a new bundle branch block. If it's a bundled charge; then are there different codes for a device check performed without an EKG.
