Diabetic Shoe Returns

We have run into a problem with diabetic shoe returns. Would someone please share their policy/ process for shoe returns?
 
A lot would depend on the company you purchase the diabetic shoes from and what their policy is on returns. One of the companies we deal with allows up to 6 months. However, our office policy is 30 days. After the patient has had them for 30 days, we do not allow returns. It runs in to a huge mess with the patient wanting to return them every 5 months.
