One of our doctors gave an antibiotic to a pt to prevent malaria because they were going to a foreign country but the diag code the dr gave us is for a pt who has malaria. Does anyone know of a code for prevention of malaria? I have looked up everything I can think of in the coding book and cant find an appropriate code. Help!
