The doctor I work for has recently seen a patient that hit a brick wall while at work. the doctor has referred the patient to a plastic surgeon due to irregular contour of at the inferior edge of Maxillary bone left side. He is not sure what diagnosis code should be used since his specialty is Ophthalmology. Patient came to see provider stating that vision is become blurry. Can someone Please advise

Code for the blurry vision along with the injury code as the blurry vision occurred due to the pt hitting against brick wall.

I am looking in the External cause and not finding that dx code for the brick wall. So I just use the code for work injury?

If an external cause code is required, and 'hit a brick wall' is all you have documented, I would use W22.01X- for this. I think that's the closest code.
