Pt camein to speak about end of life issues. He is not ill. He just wanted to be prepared. Does anybady have any ideas on an icd-9 for this. Thanks:)
 
I found V65.49 (other specified counseling) - its under counseling- with no complaint or sickness. It isn't marked as primary or secondary dx only in the ICD-9 book. Is there an underlying illness? If there is maybe you could use
V66.7 encounter for palliative care? Thats an interesting situation.
