Hello,
I need some help coding an operative report. We previously repaired an inguinal hernia. The patient was seen 6 months later with abdominal pain, CT was performed. Per the CT results recurrent inguinal hernia present. The doctor went in to repair the hernia via laparoscopy but there was no findings of a hernia. The diagnosis I was using is recurrent inguinal hernia, abdominal pain and V71.89 ( other specified suspected conditions). What would be the best diagnosis to use with CPT code 49320? Thanks for your help.
