Patient had a diagnostic colonoscopy due to blood in stool, that turned therapeutic w/removal of a polyp; however, due to poor bowel prep the doctor wants the patient to return in 3-6 months for a repeat colonoscopy. Is this treated the same as the screening colonoscopy w/adding a modifier 53 to CPT 45385?
