Medicare will cover ICD codes for tortuous colon, and/or failed previous colonoscopy. However, we have a patient that has a large abdominal aortic aneurysm and cannot have traditional colonoscopy. I'm inquiring if there is an ICD 10 that is compatible with the ABN waiver codes, can this still be performed? She did not have a previous colonoscopy, for fear of rupturing the aneurysm. Any info you have would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
