I have a question on how to code for this procedure, if I'm able to at all. Patient has a dilated pore of winer, the following is the procedure note: One dilated pore of Winer approximately 1/2 inch in length removed today by carefully squeezing the contents out of the pore. Patient tolerated procedure well.

How would I code for this? The provider selected the code 11440 - Excision, other benign lesion including margins, except skin tag (unless listed elsewhere), face, ears, eyelids, nose, lips, mucous membrane; excised diameter 0.5 cm or less. I wouldn't think this is appropriate as there was no excision according to the procedure note. Does anyone know what code can be used based on the procedure note? Thank you!
