Wiki Dilation drops

Hello everyone. I am new to coding Ophthalmology. My doctor is wondering if she can bill for dialation drops? They are using (Tropicamide 1% and Phenylephrine 2.5%) I can't find the code or anything that tells me if this is allowed. Please help! Thanks

Typically your dilating drops are considered part of the routine care of the office visit, so the answer is no.

Are you in a "office" based practice? Drops are covered under the overhead costs. They're part of doing business.
