The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is seeking an experienced Director, Professional Abstraction and Compliance to join our team. Under the direction of the Planning Officer in the Department of Pediatrics, and in collaboration with the Institutional Compliance Office, the Director, Professional Abstraction and Compliance leads all coding and documentation processes in the Department of Pediatrics, a department with $470 million in charges, >500 physicians and 17 clinical divisions. These processes include the review and translation of medical record documentation into professional CPT and ICD-9 coding; the research and assessment of changes in coding requirements and legislation; the oversight and education of abstraction staff and the education of physicians and other clinicians.
