Hopefully someone can help with this question. Patient has dual chamber pacemaker inserted by a Cardiologist. On discharge day, a physician covering from another group comes in to discharge patient. Can that physician bill for that? In a surgical practice with 90 globals, when another physician discharges, they do not bill because they are not doing the post operative follow up.
