I do billing for durable medical equipment co and do billing for complex rehab (power mobility). we are having issues with facilities properly discharging patients after some research other than putting status codes in box 17 on ub04. is there another step that the faculties need to to be doing to updating medicare of the discharge status. pt is home and we are finding noridian which dme mac still shows the patient inpatient.
