Discography and Fluoroscopic Guidance, 62290 and 77003

Billing 26 with Discography and Fluoroscopic Guidance, 62290 and 77003

When billing for a Discography (62290), can I also bill Fluoroscopic Guidance (77003)? If so, what modifier(s) would I use? I'm thinking 59 and 26. The same Surgeon is doing both procedures.

Fluoroscopic guidance, 77003, is bundled and inclusive to 62290 under NCCI and should not be reported in addition unless it was for an unrelated procedure. This is also addressed in the March 2011 CPT assistant.

You should be using 72285 or 72295, depending on the spinal region.

Okay, thank you! I just took a look at those codes. I don't know what lead me originally to 77003 but thanks so much for directing me to the correct codes.
