Wiki Discussion with outside physician

Hi - I have doctor that saw a patient and he has reached out to another physician from another facility to get his opinion on a patient. He reached out on the day of the encounter but has not heard back. Would you say he gets credit for this or no since a discussion never took place? Thanks for the help!

Unfortunately, the new outpatient guidelines emphasis is on Date of Service activities. So I would say no, he would not get credit.
