Wiki Dislocation and fracture treatment

I am not all that familiar in Orthopedics. I was told years ago that when treating a fracture, if there was dislocation with it, the dislocation was not coded separately. Is this ture or can the dislocation be coded separately from the fracture care?

The dislocation diagnosis is not coded when you have a fracture in the same area.

I worded this incorrectly; what I meant was, do you charge/code for the dislocation and the fracture care as separate procedures or is the treatment of the dislocation included in the treatment of the fracture? I'm sorry for the confusion and thank you for all of your help!
