Wiki Distal radius fracture

Distal means lower end. You should look at Chapter 19 in the lower end of radius section.

Good luck

The Code Set S52.5 is for Fracture of the Lower End/Distal Radius, and covers a variety of different fracture types of the distal radius, so choose carefully. Also, look at the documentation to see if there is also an associated fracture of the Lower End/Distal Ulna (S52.6 Code Set), as fractures of both is common, but there are no codes for/including fractures of both, and each has to be identified and coded separately. These Exclude(2) Epiphyseal fractures of the Distal Radius (S59.2) and Distal Ulna (S59.0).

I refer you to icd10orthocoder.com/blog where I have a Blog on Fractures of the Forearm and Wrist that you may find helpful.
