If a provider states "CAD secondary to DM" how would you code it? 250.8x + 414.xx? or 250.7x + 414.xx? :confused:
And does anyone know if CAD can indeed be a manifestation of DM?

While fairly rare in my limited experience, I have seen diabetic CAD called by our providers, and I have seen it on outside op reports as well

I would code 250.8x, 414.xx
