Wiki DME re: HCPCS, CMN, Medicare resources?

I currently work for a DME company so I deal primarily with HCPCS & ICD-9-CM diagnosis codes. My documentation issues are slightly different also (to support the codes).

Can anyone recommend a good source for the beginning coder regarding HCPCS codes & CMN forms? I have a good handle on ICD-9-CM and the other two but I would feel more comfortable with some resources to refer to.

I already have Faye Brown's 2008 ICD-9-CM Coding Questions with Answers, Coding Desk Reference for HCPCS and Coder's Desk Reference for Diagnoses.

Also, does anyone know of a good site for coders for Medicare? (We deal with Medicaid & Medicare.)

(As a beginning coder, I hope someone can give me some guidance.)

CMS has a website that may help you. The link is http://www.cms.hhs.gov/center/dme.asp.


It has alot of information on DMERC manuals for Medicare, etc. Hope this helps you some.
